The Embassy of the State of Qatar in Chisinau has participated on a football tournament organized by the Ministry of Education, Culture and Scientific Research of the Republic of Moldova in coordination with the Moldovan Ministry of Foreign Affairs and European Integration. Beside the participation of all ministries, embassies and international organizations accredited to the Republic of Moldova, have also took part in the tournament. The participation was part of the Embassy’s keenness to contribute to the promotion of the World Cup 2022 which will be held in Doha. The Embassy has presented a gift two cups with the logo of the State of Qatar in order to show the Embassy’s interest to participate in various sports events in Moldova. The Embassy was also keen to distribute promotional pamphlets for the 2022 World Cup which reflect the development of the State of Qatar in all areas including sports facilities and infrastructure in preparation for this big event. At the end of the event, His Excellency Mr. Hamad bin Rashid Al Athba, Chargé d'Affaires a.i. at the Embassy of the State of Qatar to the Republic of Moldova, handed over the first Cup to the Organizing Committee of the tournament and the other Cup of Fair Play to one of the teams. HH has also invited all teams to participate in the Doha 2019 Sports Day, that will be organized by the Embassy of the State of Qatar to the Republic of Moldova, in order to demonstrate Qatar's keenness to encourage sport.
