The Sport Day for the year 2020

- Location

The Embassy of the State of Qatar to the Republic of Moldova organized a celebration on the occasion of the Sport Day for the year 2020 at the sport complex of the State Medical University with the participation of Mr. Hamad Bin Rashid Al-Athba, the Chargé d'Affaires a.i., Mr. Hamad Bin Khalid Alsheaibi - Second Secretary – at the Embassy and the staff of the Embassy. A football team composed of the faculty members and students from the Free International University of Moldova (ULIM) participated on the events which comprised Football- Volleyball and Table Tennis games. The Chargé d'Affaires a.i. stressed the role that the State of Qatar attaches to practicing sports at all levels and Qatar’s continued preparation to host the Football World Cup 2020. Ambasada Statului Qatar în Republica Moldova a sărbătorit Ziua Sporturilor pentru anul 2020, care a avut loc la Complexul Sportiv al orașului medical din cadrul Universității Medicale de Stat, cu participarea E.S Hamad bin Rashid Al-Athba, Chargé d’affaires a.i al ambasadei și E.S / Hamad Bin Khalid Al-Shuaibi - secretar secund - și a personalului ambasadei, si cu participarea Universității Internaționale Liberă din Moldova ULIM cu o echipă de fotbal formată din cadrul didactic si profesori ai universității, și un grup de studenți, iar evenimentele includeau o serie de jocuri - fotbal - volei - tenis de masă, iar Chargé d’affaires a vorbit despre importanta practicării sportului pe care Statul Qatar pe care si a sumat la toate nivelurile, și continuarea pregătirilor pentru ca Qatar să găzduiască Cupa Mondială FIFA 2022.

Reception on the Occasion of the National Day of the State of Qatar

 - Location

On the Occasion of the National Day of the State of Qatar and under the theme "The Path of Excellence is Difficult.", the Embassy of the State of Qatar to the Republic of Moldova has organized a reception in Radisson Blu Leogrand Hotel in the Capital Chisinau. The event saw large participation. The ceremony was attended by HE Mr. Eugen Caras, President’s Foreign policy Adviser representing HE President of the Republic of Moldova, HE Mr. Pavel Voicu Minister of the Interior, HE Mr. Vladimir Ţurcan President of the Constitutional Court, HE Ms. Monica Babuc Deputy Chairman of the Parliament, HE Mr. Alexei Cracan director of the Department of State Diplomatic Protocol at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and European Integration , HE Professor Mr. Victor Ţvircun Director of the Diplomatic Institute of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and European Integration, HE Professor Mr. Oleg Balan, Rector of the Academy of Public Administration and Former Minister of Interior, HE Mr. Nicolae Ţau, Professor of International Economic Relations and Former Minister of Foreign Affairs and HE Mr. Eugen Sturza Former Minister of Defense as well as a number of members of the Parliament and senior official in addition to heads of diplomatic missions and international organizations accredited by the Republic of Moldova, Civil society organizations, Academics, representatives of Cultural and artistic organizations, Clergy, and CEOs of Many corporations. Cu ocazia zilei naționale a fondării statului Qatar și sub sloganul „El aținut glorie și decență în tinerețe și a atins toate culmele înaltei, și vitejiei” culmele înaltei greu de atins ”, Ambasada Statului Qatar în Republica Moldova a avut o deosebita recepție în Hotelul Radisson din centrul capitalei, Chișinău, la care au participat E.S/ Eugeniu Caras. The International Charity Bazaar 2019

 - Location

In the presence of the Chargé d'Affaires, Mr. Hamad Bin Rashid Al-Athba and Mr. Hamad Bin Khalid Alsheaibi - Second Secretary – at the mission, the Embassy of the State of Qatar in the Republic of Moldova participated in the Annual International Charity Bazaar organized by the International Women's Club in Chişinău in the morning of Sunday the 8th of December 2019 with the participation of all embassies and international organizations accredited to the Republic of Moldova, in addition to a large number of civil society organizations and commercial centers. Mrs. Galina Dodon, First lady, spouse of the President of the Republic of Moldova and President of the International Women's Club in Moldova, has inaugurated the Bazaar. She has visited the Qatari pavilion, which she has admired as well as the heritage exhibits. Likewise, she praised the great number of visitors to the Qatari pavilion. She was given (Dallah) a traditional Arabic coffee pot as a Souvenir that symbolize the Qatari heritage and hospitality. The Qatari pavilion drew the attention of all the participants and visitors by its distinguish from the other pavilions, as it was designed on a Qatari traditional form (traditional Qatari house made of Wool). Moreover, presence of a woman who was drawing henna at the hands of the female visitors of the pavilion. Furthermore, the pavilion was distinguished by number of traditional Arabic meals that it has been offered. The pavilion was among the most active pavilions, whether in terms of the number of visitors or the volume of sales on which, it scored the second place after the pavilion of the Turkish embassy. The organizing committee of the Bazaar has awarded the Embassy of the State of Qatar a Certificate of Appreciation due to its outstanding participation and its donation of the whole amount received of sales to the Charity Bazaar. Furthermore, it has been decided this year, similar to the past five years, to present the amount received of sales as donation for the NGOs implementing projects for children and women of social groups that need Assistance.

The National Day of the State of Qatar 2018

 - Location

On the occasion of the National Day of the State of Qatar and under the theme " Qatar Will Remain Free", the Embassy of the State of Qatar to the Republic of Moldova held a large and distinguished reception at Radisson Blu Leogrand Hotel in Chisinau, attended by Mr. Ion Perju, Advisor at the Office of the President of the Republic of Moldova, Mrs. Tatiana Molcean, State Secretary at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and European Integration, Mr. Valeriu Ghileţchi, Deputy Chairman of the Parliament and a number of parliamentarians and officials of the Moldovan government, as well as the heads and members of diplomatic missions, international organizations accredited in Moldova, civil society organizations, a number of university professors and representatives of cultural and artistic bodies, Large guests including clerics, businessmen and heads of commercial companies. The guests were received by H.E. Mr. Hamad Bin Rashid Al-Athba, Chargé d'Affaires a.i. and Mr. Naif Bin Jassim AlAbduljabbar, Second Secretary at the Embassy

Qatar Sport's Day 2019

 - Location

The Embassy of the State of Qatar to the Republic of Moldova organized various sporting events on the occasion of Qatar Sport's Day at the Sports Complex of the Medical City of the State Medical University. Most of the employees of the Embassy, their families, their friends and a number of students of the Faculty of Medicine have participated in the games which included football, volleyball and table tennis. The event lasted for 6 hours.

The Charity Market 2018

 - Location

In the presence of His Excellency the Chargé d'affaires a.i. Hamad bin Rashid Al-Athba and Mr. Naif bin Jassim Al-Abduljabbar, Second Secretary, the Embassy of the State of Qatar to the Republic of Moldova has participated in the annual charity market event organized by the International Women's Club in Chisinau on Sunday, 9th December 2018 with all embassies of foreign countries and international organizations accredited to Republic of Moldova, as well as a large number of civil society organizations and commercial centers. The Qatari pavilion attracted the attention of all participants and visitors by its uniqueness from the rest of the pavilions through the hanging of the largest flag of a state and the erection of a traditional wool tent, as well as the presence of a lady to decorate hands of the pavilion's visitors with Arab henna drawings. The pavilion was also distinguished by the offering of different types of popular foods. The Qatari pavilion was impressive for all its visitors as it was one of the most active pavilions in terms of number of visitors and sales’ volume which scored the first place. The organizers of the event have praised the participation of the Qatari Embassy and its donation of the full amount collected from the sales for the charity market. The Embassy has been awarded a certificate of appreciation by the organizers of the market in appreciation of this donation. Therefore, this year and as in the past four years, it has been decided to donate the market’s revenues to children infected with cancer and to the sections dedicated to the treatment of this disease in the Moldovan hospitals.
