Moldovan Socialist Party leader / Igor Dodon has won the second round of the presidential elections

Moldovan Socialist Party leader / Igor Dodon has won the second round of the presidential elections that took place in Moldova on November 13, 2016 where he received the required majority of votes (52.18%) compared to his rival Ms. Maya Sandu/ head of the Action and Solidarity Party,  who won 47.7% of the votes. Thus, Mr. Dodon will be inaugurated as president of the Republic of Moldova, succeeding the outgoing President Mr. / Nikolai Timofti.
